Describe what happened, what you expected, and which inference provider you were using.

Analysis is unavailable

Ousia opens Settings when the selected provider needs attention. Sign in for OpenAI, or complete the system check and model installation for Local. Close Settings and start the analysis again from the idea.

Using the local model

Local inference requires at least 16 GB of memory and 10 GB of free storage. Ousia recommends 24 GB of memory. The model download is about 6.5 GB and can be removed from Settings when no longer needed.

Where ideas are stored

Ideas, branches, analysis results, and conversations are stored in Ousia's local application data. OpenAI receives content only when you use that provider for an analysis or conversation.

Guided revisions and branches

A proposed revision does not change the idea until you keep it. Create a named branch before pursuing an alternate direction; each branch then keeps its own text, analysis, and conversations.

Exporting an idea

Hover over an idea in the sidebar to copy it as Markdown or open the export dialog. Ousia supports PDF, DOCX, and Markdown exports.

Sending a useful report

Include the Ousia version, operating-system version, inference provider, and the exact error shown. Do not include private draft text unless it is necessary to reproduce the issue.
